Kids and electronics go together like rama lama and ding dong these days, so it’s no wonder that toy specialist Toys ‘R’ Us is continuing to test the waters in the gadget category. A Sony boutique launched today at TRU’s premier Times Square location in New York City. The 550-square-foot dedicated area features a wide assortment of kid-friendly Sony products, including Cyber-shot digital cameras, Handycam camcorders, Walkman portable MP3 and CD players, VAIO notebook computers and the Sony Reader.

Specially dedicated employees trained in the ways of Sony goods will staff the area to help customers decide what to purchase. And consumers will be encouraged to test-drive the devices before taking them home.
