It looks like EM.Entertainment’s 31-year-old stalwart property Maya the Bee will be buzzing into German broadcaster Sat.1’s TV sound stage, as the company’s new subsidiary Life on Stage Entertainment prepares to mount its first live-action, Broadway-like production for broadcast.

Local comedians and actors will be cast in the main roles for the stage adaptation of the classic Maya the Bee TV series, and Life on Stage principals Wolfgang Weber and Dirk Michael Steffan are working on finding more projects on which to base family musicals and touring stage events. Meanwhile, the new Maya effort should hit Sat.1’s airwaves before year’s end.
