Mattel now master of DC Comics Universe

Mattel and Warner Bros. Consumer Products have entered into a multi-year deal that will see the toyco manufacture playthings based on the entire DC Comics property portfolio. So along with established members of the stable such as Batman and Superman, Mattel now has access to Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern and Aquaman (and Tadpole can come along too, no doubt). Additionally, the deal covers future DC Universe film and animation incarnations produced during its term.

Mattel and Warner Bros. Consumer Products have entered into a multi-year deal that will see the toyco manufacture playthings based on the entire DC Comics property portfolio. So along with established members of the stable such as Batman and Superman, Mattel now has access to Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern and Aquaman (and Tadpole can come along too, no doubt). Additionally, the deal covers future DC Universe film and animation incarnations produced during its term.

Mattel plans to develop DC Super Heroes sections at mass-market retail, and the goal is to cater both to collectors and new fans of the franchise.
