French broadcaster MCM has picked up Bleach from distributor Taffy Entertainment and plans to put it on air this coming September. The anime series premiered on Cartoon Network US in September and tells the story of 15-year-old Ichigo Kurosaki who can see ghosts and is tasked helping lost souls find peace.
Produced by TV Tokyo, Dentsu and Studio Pierrot, the series is based on a Shonen Jump manga of the same name published by Shueisha. To date, 28 volumes of Bleach have sold more than 42 million copies in Japan and have been translated into more than seven languages.
