• Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling will be coming to the US in October for a three-city Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows tour. Rowling will regale students from schools selected by US publisher Scholastic in L.A., New Orleans and New York City with readings from the series-ending novel.

• Canuck tooncaster Teletoon has given Toronto, Canada's Portfolio Entertainment the greenlight for a fourth season of its animated tween series Carl²; the 13-episode pickup includes two special interactive episodes.
