Disney renews Asian deals and lands new VOD carriage in France

Disney-ABC International Television (Asia-Pacific) has renewed a multi-genre agreement with MediaCorp TV, Singapore's leading free-to-air broadcaster. Under the agreement, Singapore's Channel 5 will carry a wide range of programming including new and returning series, current and library features, TV movies and specials. Notably, Disney original films High School Musical and High School Musical 2 are part of the package.

Disney-ABC International Television (Asia-Pacific) has renewed a multi-genre agreement with MediaCorp TV, Singapore’s leading free-to-air broadcaster. Under the agreement, Singapore’s Channel 5 will carry a wide range of programming including new and returning series, current and library features, TV movies and specials. Notably, Disney original films High School Musical and High School Musical 2 are part of the package.

The company has also renewed its contract with ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation’s free-to-air Studio 23 in the Philippines.

On the European side, Disney has sealed a deal with French broadcaster TF1’s VOD service, TF1 Vision, for video on demand. The pact allows customer to download episodes of their favourite shows from the TF1 Vision service, directly to their PC or television via DSL immediately after its first broadcast on TF1. Single episodes will be available from US$2.70 each and bundles of two or three episodes will be available at a reduced price for an extended viewing period.
