Sony Pictures Television International is preparing to launch its animé channel Animax in Germany. After signing a deal with Unity Media, the channel will launch in early June and will be available to digital Pay-TV subscribers in the German regions of North Rhine-Westphalia and Hesse.

Yvon of the Yukon, from VooDoo Entertainment and Vancouver, Canada-based Studio B Productions, makes its Canuck DVD debut on June 26, while a second DVD box set is slated for release on October 16th. The animated series has been airing on Canada's YTV since 2000.

• Trendy footwear manufacturer Crocs has added Marvel Entertainment to its growing list of licenses. Captain America, The Fantastic Four, The Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man, and The X-Men will grace spongy Crocs shoes and Jibbitz charms hitting North American retail this summer.
