Igor inks book deal

Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing Division has inked a publishing deal with Exodus Film Group for their upcoming CGI feature Igor. S&S imprints Simon Scribbles and Simon Spotlight will publish seven books based on the property in a number of formats.

Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing Division has inked a publishing deal with Exodus Film Group for their upcoming CGI feature Igor. S&S imprints Simon Scribbles and Simon Spotlight will publish seven books based on the property in a number of formats.

Simon Spotlight focuses on licensed titles for kids from preschoolers to teens, while Scribbles features coloring and activity books with kid-friendly add-ons, including crayons, stickers and iron-ons.

Igor is currently in production and boasts a Hollywood-heavy voice cast including Steve Buscemi, John Cleese and Christian Slater. The Weinstein Company is distributing the film, which is set for wide release on October 24, 2008.
