Canada’s DHX Brands, the IP management arm of DHX Media, has partnered with Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing to produce new Teletubbies books.
Under the terms of the deal, which covers Canada and the US and was brokered by CPLG North America, the publishing company will produce a range of new books based on the children’s animated series under its Simon Spotlight imprint.
This is the latest in a series of Teletubbies licensing deals. Just last week, DHX Brands announced six new North American licensing deals for the property. And in May, the company signed a global home entertainment distribution deal with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment for physical and digital formats of the series.
The new Teletubbies series debuted on Nick Jr. in the US and on Family Jr. in Canada in May.
