Disney Channel has brought in Cookie Jar creative exec Fonda Snyder to try and replicate the success of High School Musical as its new VP of original movies.

As SVP of creative development for Cookie Jar, Snyder oversaw the development of more than 50 properties for multiple platforms, churning out preschool, comedy and boys action animated series that are enjoying healthy lives on networks including Disney Channel, Kids’ WB! and Cartoon Network.

Prior to that, Snyder co-founded Storyopolis, a franchise-orientated family entertainment company that has its fingers in many pots, including TV/film production, book publishing, art galleries, exhibition spaces and retail outlets.
