Three weeks before Shrek The Third hits theatres, AOL is debuting its Ye Olde Shrek the Third Royal Tournament online game. Users will be able to interact with the movie’s principals, including the leading green guy, Fiona, Donkey, and Puss in Boots at http://shrek.aol.com. AOL, DreamWorks Animation and Mark Burnett Productions collaborated as co-producers to create the game.

As for the on-screen action, players will face a new online challenge each day, participating in 25 games over the course of the tournament and will have a chance to win prizes. The big carrot is a free trip for four to Hollywood that includes a tour of DreamWorks studios.

The first four games feature Donkey ridding the skies of Far Far Away of enchanted broomsticks, Shrek making eyeball soup, Fiona escaping a castle, and the chance to dress up Gingy for a sea cruise.
