Shimmer and Shine launches first product line

The first wave of merch inspired by Nickelodeon’s animated preschool series have hit US stores.

US toy shelves are about to get a lot shinier this month as the inaugural consumer products line inspired by Nickelodeon preschool series Shimmer and Shine debuts nationwide.

The products include basic and deluxe doll assortments and accessories from Fisher-Price, with playthings like the new Shimmer and Shine Wish & Spin and Magic Flying Carpet dolls.

Partners including Just Play, Party City, Spirit Halloween, Global Brands Group, Freeze, Children’s Apparel Network, Bentex, C-Life, Handcraft, High Point, F.A.B. Starpoint, Accessory Innovations, Global Design Concepts, ACL and Berkshire will provide apparel, accessories and costumes inspired by the series.

Meanwhile, a crop of publishing and home entertainment offerings from Random House Children’s Books, Bendon, Studio Fun, Phoenix International and Paramount Home Entertainment are set to launch, along with a line of arts and crafts from Alex Brands.

In addition, games and puzzles from Cardinal and University Games are hitting retail shelves, while party and stationery products are hailing from Bullseye Playground, DecoPac, Party City and MediBadge.

The second season of Shimmer and Shine debuted last month on Nickelodeon, which recently ordered 20 more episodes of the social-emotional-themed series.
