Newly formed KidsCo has inked a significant content deal with TV-Loonland to help fill its ambitious global programming sked. The fledging satellite network from partners DIC Entertainment, Corus Entertainment and Sparrowhawk Media, has picked up a raft of titles from the German prodco/distributor including Clifford, The Famous Jett Jackson, GI Joe and The Black Stallion.

The new acquisitions complement the net’s 6,000 hours of ready-to-go content provided by principle partners, including DIC’s Inspector Gadget, Strawberry Shortcake and Madeline, and Babar and Franklin from Corus subsidiary Nelvana Enterprises.

The net plans to roll out its 24/7 multi-platform channel in Central and Eastern Europe this fall with more than 40 territories across Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific in its sights for 2009.
