DreamWorks Animation is partnering exclusively with beIN Network to launch its content in the Middle East and Africa. The 24-hour channel will launch August 1 in Arabic, though viewers will also be able to watch in English.
The initial programming lineup for the multi-genre platform will include DreamWorks’ Dragons: Race to the Edge—from the company’s How to Train Your Dragon franchise—as well as original series Dinotrux. Additional series set to launch on the channel include All Hail King Julien, The Adventures of Puss in Boots and Dawn of the Croods (pictured).
In addition to all-day family programming, the channel will present a daily morning preschool block that will feature such favorites as Guess with Jess, Roary the Racing Car and Little Red Tractor.
The launch will act as an expansion for DreamWorks outside of the Asia-Pacific region, where it premiered for the first time in July 2015. DreamWorks’ kids programming is available on linear and on-demand platforms in more than 130 countries, and the company has made significant moves recently in an effort to expand its reach.
Earlier this year, for example, DreamWorks signed a newly expanded multi-year deal that will see its content stream in all Netflix markets outside of China.
