Richard Loomis joins Disney as SVP marketing and creative, Disney Channel US. He hails from MTV Networks where he was most recently SVP of Comedy Central and VP of marketing and advertising at Nickelodeon prior to that.

In his new position, Loomis’s key responsibilities include crafting US marketing strategies and the creative direction of the on/off air look and feel of Disney Channel, Playhouse Disney and Toon Disney. He will also oversee the creative process, working with programming, global brand marketing and franchise management as well as affiliate and advertising sales, marketing and research groups in the US.
