BBC Worldwide Australia & New Zealand has announced a slate of new licensing partners for preschool series Hey Duggee in Australia.

MacDonald Imports (homewares), Kinnerton Confectionery (confectionery) and The Entertainment Store (live entertainment) are joining the property’s growing roster of licensees.

Hey Duggee has gone down well Down Under, rating as the number one show on CBeebies Australia and delivering audience numbers of almost 300,000 viewers on pubcaster ABC Kids. Hey Duggee airs daily in Australia on both channels and features a group of squirrels led by lovable Duggee the dog. The first season of the series has been sold into 80 territories and a second season was recently commissioned by the Beeb from creator Studio AKA.

MacDonald Imports will launch a Hey Duggee range of children’s dinnerware and infant feeding products that includes plates, bowls and tumblers for retail later this year.

A range of seasonal products will be available in time for Christmas 2017 from Kinnerton Confectionery, while live event producer The Entertainment Store will produce Duggee non-ticketed character appearances at retailers and special events.

Jasnor will continue to distribute Hey Duggee soft toys, character figurines and playsets in Australia  for master toy partner Golden Bear and books will continue to be published by Penguin Random House in the territory.
