Nickelodeon is bringing back Double Dare, its longest-running game show ever, in the form of a commemorative special on November 23.

Marking the 30th anniversary of Double Dare, the half-hour special will premiere on Nick at Nite at 9 p.m. (ET/PT) and reunite original host Marc Summers (pictured) with the show’s popular announcer John Harvey and right-hand woman Robin Russo.

The special will include vintage footage, exclusive behind-the-scenes clips and new games taped this year.

Double Dare originally ran from 1986 to 1993 and featured kids in two-member teams competing to win prizes by completing physical challenges, answering trivia questions and participating in the show’s infamous obstacle course.

Nickelodeon’s newly launched ’90s throwback destination The Splat will air an encore presentation of the special on the premiere date at 10 p.m. (ET/PT).

The move is timed with the return of another iconic ’90s Nick game show property, Legends of the Hidden Temple. The new original TV movie of the same name will bow on November 26 as a live-actioner inspired by the network’s game show that aired from 1993 to 1995.

Nick’s nostalgia drive also includes a new Hey Arnold! TV movie for 2017, a recently greenlit original TV special based on the cult classic ’90s animated series Rocko’s Modern Life, as well as a ’90s revival-themed consumer products project with New York retailer Story.
