Tanaka climbs at BVITV, and Byrnes jumps to Genius Products

Harry Tanaka has been promoted to VP of sales at Disney Buena Vista International Television Japan, and Ed Byrnes has taken on an EVP of finance systems and information technology role at Genius Products.

Harry Tanaka has been promoted to VP of sales at Disney Buena Vista International Television Japan (BVITV-J). Tanaka joined Disney in 2002 as lead legal counsel for both Disney Channel and BVITV-J. In his new position, he will manage the day-to-day sales operations of BVITV-J.

Across the pond at Genius Products in Santa Monica, California, Ed Byrnes takes on an EVP of finance systems and information technology role. Byrnes previously held the same post at Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.
