While it kicked off this fall in North America on 4Kids TV, Viva Piñata is just getting started in the UK and Europe. The CGI toon bowed on Nicktoons UK today, stripping weekdays at 4:30 p.m. and 9:30 a.m. on weekends. The net has snapped up 52 episodes of the half-hour series based on a Microsoft 360 game of the same name. Meanwhile, Nick Benelux and Spain, Andorra in Australia and New Zealand, MTV4 Finland, France 3, Israel’s Noga Communications and NRK in Norway have also picked up the series from 4Kids International.

A North American licensing program is well underway, and the Euro component is now getting off the ground. The first to sign up? Beltex is the property’s bedding and home furnishings licensee in Benelux, Germany and Nordic territories. Watch for Euro-wide confectionery, partywear, toiletries, collectibles, housewares, apparel and stationery partners in the coming months.
