Noggin is bringing out the star power to support literacy in a series of interstitials that will air throughout the month of March.

Grey’s Anatomy star Isaiah Washington and Cedric the Entertainer are just two Hollywood heavyweights who will appear in live-action Story Time segments with Noggin hosts Moose and Zee. The interstitials feature Washington reading City Symphony and Cedric the Entertainer taking on the classic fable The Tortoise and the Hare. The new PSAs are slated to debut on www.noggin.com Friday March 2, before they are inserted into the linear broadcast schedule. Noggin’s website is also featuring literacy-themed games to complement the Story Time segments.

Kids will get to do their part, as well. During March, viewers will be directed to www.noggin.com/read, and their click-throughs will spur book donations to less fortunate youngsters, thanks to a partnership with First Book.
