Amazon Prime Video is launching its new original kids series Dino Dana on May 26 in the US and the UK.

Based on the Emmy-winning Dino Dan: Trek’s Adventures, the Sinking Ship Entertainment-produced program was ordered by the SVOD in 2015 along with The Kicks and Lost in Oz.

The live-action/CGI series follows Dana, a paleontologist in training, as she shares dinosaur facts and then uses them in her real life encounters with the creatures.

The series is created by J.J. Johnson (Dino Dan, Annedroids) and executive produced by Sinking Ship partners Johnson, Blair Powers and Christin Simms.

The new show follows Prime Video’s growing catalog of original kids and family shows, which includes the most recent American Girl special and two series developed with The Roots.
