Kids have always loved spooky movies, and their interest in horror has been rising like the full moon lately, according to Dubit data from 2023. Children love being scared because it helps them exercise their imagination and develop self-preservation instincts—and it gives them a rush of adrenaline, too.
For some Halloween fun, Kidscreen wants to hear what your favorite Halloween movie or TV special was as a child, and why.
By seeing what resonated with kids in the past, maybe we’ll all get some fresh inspiration for the future. Or perhaps we’ll learn that classic favorites still keep coming back—like zombies!
