Netflix taps Jazwares for KPop Demon Hunters plush lines

The Florida-based toyco has signed on to manufacture and distribute KPDH-branded collections of Squishmallows and BumBumz plush next year. These ranges will cover the full cast of movie characters, starting with an initial wave of Squishmallows featuring Derpy and Sussie that will hit retail shelves worldwide in May. 

 

Abu Dhabi Media forms content partnership with Animotion MENA

The regional channel operator will work with Animotion to expand The Fixies IP with a new live-action spinoff titled Fixilab. ADM has also picked up broadcast and distribution rights to several animated shows in Animotion’s catalogue, including The Fixies, Dinocity, Tina & Tony, Babyriki and Detective Finnick

 

The Entertainer delivers for Christmas with the Deliveroo app

DoorDash UK subsidiary Deliveroo has begun offering on-demand delivery for more than 4,000 products in The Entertainer’s toy catalogue, including LEGO construction sets, Fuggler plush, Gabby’s Dollhouse playsets and Jurassic World Primal Hatch eggs. 

 

Mad Cave expands publishing deal with Tatsunoko Production

Following up on an initial comic deal signed last year, Mad Cave imprint Papercutz will publish a new Speed Racer series of graphic novels aimed at kids ages seven to 12. The first volume is slated to launch in April and will see the titular hero face off against an evil zillionaire who has built the world’s fastest AI-powered vehicle. American comic book writer Franco Aureliani (Superman Family Adventures) will pen the series, with Derek Charm (Star Trek: Lower Decks) on board as illustrator. 

 

Future Today picks up two teen dramas from Paramount’s Ananey Studios

The LA-based AVOD platform operator has added the first season of live-action series Rising (50 x 24 minutes) and feature film Remnants to its Fawesome streamer. 

 

God’s Gang secures new wave of distribution deals

Powerkids Entertainment (India), Mercury TV (US) and global streamer Red Coral Universe have all licensed the 2D-animated faith-based series God’s Gang. Also, the same-name prodco behind the toon has teamed up with New York-based online audio company Linguana to translate and dub it for non-English-language audiences worldwide using its AI-powered software.
