Netflix has signed a deal with popular kids & family YouTube creators Jordan and Salish Matter, who will develop, produce and star in new projects for the streamer.
Jordan (34.1 million YouTube subscribers) and his daughter Salish (3.37 million subscribers) have attracted huge audiences with their elaborate family-friendly stunts (like building a waterpark in the back of a truck) and comedy videos (Salish becoming celebrity Paris & Pups creator Paris Hilton’s assistant for a day, for example).
Although Jordan started building his online following over a decade ago, 16-year-old Salish is newer on the scene with her channel, where she mostly posts videos about beauty (she started a skincare line called Sincerely Yours with Sephora) and gymnastics. Jordan and Salish won a Kids Choice Award together in 2024 (Favorite Creator Family), and last year Salish was named Female Creator of the Year on her own.

Now the father-and-daughter duo is taking their talent to Netflix, where they’ll work on new projects that could include scripted, unscripted and animated series. Their broad deal also has consumer products and experiential components, and Netflix will roll out a collection of their older content sometime later this year.
A photographer and videographer by trade, Jordan will be featured at Kidscreen Summit later this month in a keynote fireside chat entitled “Making It Matter: Building trust & scale in the creator economy by being real”. Among other things, he’ll talk about how he has built trust with parents, sustainable engagement with kids and a deeper relationship with his daughter while growing his brand on YouTube.
Netflix seems to be prioritizing partnerships with big-name kids & family YouTube creators lately. Back in August, the streamer announced plans to make a kid-friendly competition series with STEM-focused YouTube creator Mark Rober that’s expected to drop later this year. And season one of Mark Rober’s CrunchLabs (a compilation of his YouTube videos that was added to Netflix’s offering as part of the same deal) earned 12 million views on Netflix during the second half of 2025.
This creator push is not surprising, given how well Netflix’s collaboration with Ms. Rachel has been going. Both seasons of her show collectively generated 73 million views on the platform in the second half of 2025.
John Derderian, VP of animation series and kids & family TV, had this to say in a release: “At Netflix, we are committed to working with the best creatives in the world, and Salish and Jordan Matter are unparalleled creators with a massive fandom and a vibrant, high-energy storytelling style that kids & family audiences instantly love.”
