Beyblade X picks up two new licensees
ADK Emotions NY is bolstering the Beyblade X (pictured) consumer products program by granting licenses to Chinese bag manufacturer Bagtrotter (France, Benelux) and Pennsylvania-based toyco Super Impulse (global), which will add the IP to its World’s Smallest line of collectibles. ADK has also teamed up with Mainfactor to launch a branded Beyblade X e-commerce site stocked with exclusive apparel and accessories in North America.
Outfit7 locks in a US toy distributor
Talking Tom’s brand owner has signed PSi Retail Services to be the US toy distributor for Talking Tom Heroes: Suddenly Super. PSi will work with series co-producer and licensing agent Epic Story Media to support the brand’s stateside licensing program. PSi warehouses, sells and distributes products to retailers including Walmart, Target and Amazon. The Talking Tom Heroes: Suddenly Super animated series is a spin-off of the long-running Talking Tom mobile game, starring a group of animals who transform into superheroes.
Outright Games brings the GOAT movie to an NBA video game
Best known for its licensed video games for kids, Outright is incorporating Sony Pictures Animation’s feature film GOAT into its NBA Bounce title. Characters and locations from the comedy-driven sports film will appear in the game as downloadable content that can be purchased for roughly US$14 starting today. NBA Bounce is available on all major gaming consoles and PCs, and Sony’s film is playing in theaters now.
