The Mouse House embraced both the old and new last week. First it harnessed the power of nostalgia to rustle up some impressive ratings for its faithful recreation of the ’70s classic The Muppet Show. Then it revealed how it’s going to adapt the au courant vertical microdrama trend for kids with a show told from inside characters’ hallway lockers. Nobody’s better at combining legacy with the cutting edge, so readers awarded it this week’s Gold Star!
You can read what we wrote about Disney—as well as runners-up ABC Australia and Windmill Production Company; Hasbro and Animaj; Sony Pictures Animation; and Spin Master—right here.
