Jakks Pacific renews its PAW Patrol license until 2028

As part of a renewed agreement with Paramount, the toyco will manufacture and distribute licensed products inspired by PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie, which is slated for a July 2026 theatrical premiere. During this two-year time frame, Jakks plans to expand its core PAW Patrol product mix to include craft kits, pop-up tents, activity mats and arcade-style games. 

Mattel announces its next two indoor waterparks

Bellevue, Nebraska and Bradley, Illinois have been selected as the second and third locations for Mattel Wonder Waterparks. Last month, the toyco said it was planning to build five of these attractions in the US, and brand partners Martin Aquatic, American Resort Management and I-dentity Group are already working on the first park in Orlando, Florida. 

Prime Video greenlights a YA novel adaptation

The streamer has ordered an eight-part live-action series adaptation of The Probability of Miracles from Gossip Girl studios Alloy Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television. Written by Wendy Wunder in 2011, this novel is about a teen girl with cancer who learns to fall in love and goes on adventures to complete a mysterious bucket list before she dies. 

Funko selects a new Canadian distributor

Kroeger Marketing has signed on as the toyco’s wholesale distributor in the Canadian market to offer retailers easier access to its collectible products. This partnership, which kicks off in the new year, will see Kroeger sell Pop! vinyl figures, Loungefly backpacks and accessories and other collectibles.
