Funko and its accessories brand Loungefly have expanded their KPop Demon Hunters deal to include a range of mystery boxes, which are now available online through Amazon and Hot Topic. Each box contains a random pin featuring a character from Sony’s CG-animated musical film. Funko previously announced plans to release Pop! figures of the film’s characters. The KPDH consumer products program already includes Hasbro and Mattel as global master toy licensees.

BBC picks up Armorsaurs

Distributor CAKE has sold two seasons (26 x 21 minutes) of MGA Entertainment’s live-action/CG-animated series Armorsaurs (pictured) to the BBC, which will launch season one on CBBC and iPlayer in February. Aimed at kids ages six and up, this reimagining of a 2021 South Korean series (Armored Saurus) follows a team of teen pilots and their armored dinos as they protect Earth from alien threats. In September, CAKE sold Armosaurs to Disney Branded Television, which aired season one (13 x 21 minutes) in October on Disney XD, and is set to launch it on Disney+ next month. CAKE distributes the series worldwide, excluding South Korea, Japan and China. Season two is in production.

The British toyco has partnered with The Pokémon Company for its Puppetronic line of electronic plush toys. As part of the deal, Wow! Stuff will launch a plush Pikachu that can make more than 100 sounds and movements sometime in 2026. The company’s first Puppetronic SKU was for Disney’s character Stitch, and it won TIA’s Toy of the Year in 2024. Wow! Stuff is now expanding this range with smaller and cheaper interactive plush products.
