Viewing analytics tracker Nielsen has unveiled the winners of its 2025 ARTEY Awards, which recognize the most-watched shows in the US. And BBC Studios’ preschool phenom Bluey has held onto its crown as the most-streamed show for a second year running.
Nielsen noted that 2025 broke streaming viewership records, with audiences watching a total of 16.7 trillion minutes of content on Netflix, Disney+, Paramount+, Peacock, Pluto, HBO Max and Hulu. That’s up by 19% from 2024 (14 trillion minutes).
Bluey may have managed to keep its title as Top Overall and Top Acquired Series, but the 2D-animated series didn’t perform as well as in 2024. Without any new content to serve up to viewers, its library of 154 episodes clocked 45.2 billion minutes watched in 2025, down from 55.6 billion the previous year. But the blue-heeler pup still had a healthy lead over runner-up Grey’s Anatomy (40.9 billion minutes) on a top-10 list that also included Stranger Things (third), SpongeBob SquarePants (fifth) and Bob’s Burgers (sixth).
Bluey was also the only win for Disney+ at the ARTEYS this year (across nine awards categories), while Netflix took home five trophies, followed by Peacock with two.
Netflix’s Stranger Things won Top Original Series, a category recognizing shows that aired new episodes last year. It racked up 40 billion minutes watched, thanks in part to its three-part final season. Wednesday also made the Originals list in third place, with Gabby’s Dollhouse coming in 10th.
And with 20.6 billion minutes watched, KPop Demon Hunters was very definitively 2025’s Top Kids Movie (and also the top streaming movie overall), lapping Moana 2 (9.4 billion minutes), Despicable Me 4 (8.7 billion), Frozen (5.5 billion) and Cars (5.2 billion) in its category.
