WBD sets plans for Superman Day
On April 18, WBD is launching a day dedicated to the iconic DC hero and his extended family with three global pop-up experiences in LA, Milan and Fuzhou, China, as well as a walkthrough attraction on the WB Studios lot. A special short starring Krypto (who’s a big part of this summer’s theatrical release Supergirl) is due to air across WBD platforms, and is part of a broader tie-in with Best Friends Animal Society to encourage puppy adoption. And the girl of steel herself is getting the spotlight in a new “Summer of Supergirl” initiative with comic book shops and bookstores curating a lineup of Supergirl-focused titles. The film is hitting retail soon, with consumer products from partners like Funko and McFarlane Toys.
